Worship Warfare on the Sidewalk –
It seems the forces of darkness are increasing in strength as the lies of death and deception from Satan are increasingly embraced and the truth of life and salvation through Jesus Christ is being rejected. What are the Christians to do in this atmosphere of death? How do we get victory over this formidable enemy, who is the father of lies, and the forces that bring death and destruction?
Jesus Christ the Lord has told us that all power is given unto Him in Heaven and on Earth and that all things are under His feet. The people of Christ need only to trust in Him and allow Him to work through them. He does not want us to be afraid of our enemies nor cower from the raging roar of the “lion.”
The battle against abortion in Duluth may seem like a fight against a great multitude which has come to destroy the inheritance of the people. The battle is huge as abortion is a powerful money-making giant, yet God has given an example in His Word for what we can do about it. First He reveals to us that it is a spiritual battle: Ephesians 6 tells us that “we wrestle not against flesh and blood but against spiritual forces in high places.” Therefore it must be by the working of the Spirit of God that the wicked unseen forces are defeated. Through example in His Word we learn He moves through the high praises of God by His people. In 2 Chronicles 20 we see that moving of God as He fought for His people when they praised Him. Verse 22 speaks of how God moved upon the enemies of His people when they were being threatened by a great host. “The moment they began their shouts and praises, the LORD set an ambush against the Ammonites, Moabites, and the inhabitants of Mount Seir who came to fight against Judah, and they were defeated.”
We believe the same is true today. The high praises of God by His people brings glory to God and causes confusion and defeat for the enemies of God in the spiritual realm. There is a great need for a strong godly witness at the abortion mill, which is in the Building for Women, the killing center. The end of it would be a wonderful victory and would result in saving hundreds of lives. (Duluth, Minn. is the only city for hundreds of miles around that has an abortion mill.)
What is Worship Warfare like?
1.Worship warfare is coming to God in faith, remembering with thanksgiving His faithfulness, His mercy and kindness; there are examples of worship warfare in Scripture. 2. Letting go of our own agenda (not “being wise in our own eyes”) and surrendering to the One who is worthy of all praise and worship and thanking God for His wisdom and plans. 3. Believing and knowing that He honors the praise of His saints as they acknowledge His Holiness, justice, and conquering attributes as Lord of Hosts. 4.Proclaiming God’s purposes on the Earth for all peoples, tongues and Nations for His glory, and all power over all His enemies. 5.Confessing the Sovereignty of God over all the Earth. 6.Exalting Jesus Christ the Lord as the defeater of Satan. 7.Acknowledging Jesus Christ as the only One who will defeat our enemies even as we name them, such as Planned Parenthood, the Women’s Health Center, and the Building for Women. 8.Promising our love and obedience to Christ as our Captain. 9.Rejoicing over Jesus as Ruler, Captain in the battle. “At the Name of Jesus every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess Jesus as Lord” (Romans 14:11).
Hallelujah! Sing to the LORD a new song, His praise in the assembly of the godly. Let Israel celebrate its Maker; let the children of Zion rejoice in their King. Let them praise His name with dancing and make music to Him with tambourine and lyre. For the LORD takes pleasure in His people; He adorns the humble with salvation. Let the godly celebrate in triumphal glory; let them shout for joy on their beds. Let the exaltation of God be in their mouths and a two-edged sword in their hands, inflicting vengeance on the nations and punishment on the peoples, binding their kings with chains and their dignitaries with iron shackles, carrying out the judgment decreed against them. This honor is for all His godly people. Hallelujah! (Psalms 149:1-9)
If you are interested in being a part of this strategy to publicly glorify God on the sidewalk at the darkest area of Duluth, in front of the Building for Women at 32 E. 1st Street, where they are killing unborn children, you can make a comment on this post with your contact info and I’ll get back to you.
Please pray and ask God if He would have you come and join us and others for worship warfare and let’s see how God will move through the high praises of His people!
Praise our Risen and living Lord Jesus Christ!
In His love,
