We must walk humbly and carefully before our God and always be ready to go Home to Him. We never know what a day might bring us… are you ready?
Jesus Christ came into the world to save sinners. God’s Word tells us that all have sinned. We are sinners, everyone, He came into the World to save us.
Because we are sinners we need a Saviour. Jesus Christ the Lord is the Only Saviour that God has given us…. by the way, how many Saviours do we need? Only One Saviour! Only One Redeemer! Only One Door to enter for salvation! Only One Way to Heaven and to God!
Jesus Christ the Lord said, “I am the way the truth and the Life, no man can come unto the Father but by me.”
He said, “I am the door, by me if any may enter in he shall be saved.”
He is God in the flesh… He is the living God that became flesh and dwelt among us, to save us from the wrath and hell that is due us because we are sinners.
Sinning is simply rebellion against God… we want our own way and we choose to not do what God says we should do. God says; ” Thou shall not steal” yet how many of us have chosen to take something that does not belong to us? He says “Honor your father and mother” yet how many of us have hated our parents and blamed them for everything wrong in our lives, have spoken evil of them and thought evil in our minds about them? God says” Thou shall not commit adultery” yet how many of us have either actually been sexually impure or have allowed lustful thoughts to dwell in our minds; Jesus said that when we even look at a person with lust, we have committed adultery in our hearts. God says, “Thou shall not kill” yet how many of us have been holding such hate in our hearts against someone that we feel we could kill them? Jesus said that to hate some one in your heart is murder. God cares about our hearts… it is the heart that makes the difference before Him.
When we stand before God in the judgement, (A thing that will happen to all… it is a promise from God.) What will we say about our sin? ” Oh, my parents didn’t teach me well, so I went the wrong way.” or, “I got involved with the wrong crowd and my friends led me astray.” or, ” what about the good things I’ve done?” When we stand before God, we will know that all of our so called goodness is as a filthy rag that should be tossed into a garbage bag and thrown away. Jesus said, “There is none righteous, no not one.” and “all our righteousness is as a filthy rag.” He said all have gone their own way and have rejected Him. Can anything we do that we think is good get us into Heaven when we still carry the sin in our hearts? God says that He cannot even look at sin, so how can we think that our good works, or actions, can cover the blackness of our sin? How can God, that is perfect and Holy look upon us and only see our goodness when in fact, even our goodness is sinful because we do good things in pride. No, doing good things or being a “good” person will not save us because we still have the problem of sin in our hearts, God cannot look upon sin. No sin can be in Heaven.
Because He wanted us to be with Him in Eternity, God came to save us. From the beginning of time He wanted us to be saved from our sin. He promised Adam and Eve that He would send a Saviour to destroy satan and save us. He made it clear all throughout History that if any would turn to Him and believe in Him, He would save them from their sin. The Old Testament in the Bible shows the power of God working in those that trusted Him to save them and believed in Him. He shows His great love toward us in the stories of the Bible. He speaks to us and helps us to understand His thoughts as we read the Bible. He saved the Bible all throughout History so we would know what He has to say and to guide us in this life on earth. What kind of love has God shown us? Great love! What will you do with this love of His?
There are many false teachings and false gospels. Why? because of sin, and man wanting to have secret understandings and have power over man. Because of the confusion the false teaching creates, many people have just given up on God and blame Him for the problems, or accuse Him of being unfair or not loving. Sin in our hearts distorts the truth of God and His perfect love, it is our own sin that is to blame for our problems, not God. He has offered the answer to all our problems, we have rejected His answer and get mad at Him when things go wrong!
Jesus Christ the Lord came to earth for us, that we might find life, and He said, “life more abundant.” Jesus Christ the Lord gives this life to all who will come unto Him, He said, “He that comes unto me I will in no wise cast out.” He lived perfectly on this earth, He had no sin to curse Him to hell as we have. He had no blackness of heart nor evil thoughts, like we have. He had only love for mankind and showed His love to all. His perfect life was a testimony of what God wants us to be like… and He begins to do a work of perfecting the heart of those that really believe in their heart that He is the Saviour.
What does it mean that Jesus Christ came to die for our sins? It means that Jesus Christ the Lord allowed sinful and wicked men to place Him on a cruel cross for no reason, no crime, no sin or fault, and He placed upon Himself our sin. “He who knew no sin became sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.” We are told that He laid on Himself the iniquities of us all. Because we are sinners we deserve to go to hell. Hell is a place of punishment for those that disobey God. God said “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved.” He calls and calls for us to turn to Him and believe on Him. When we disobey His command to believe in Him, and turn to Him, we must suffer the consequences of our actions, and that is eternal damnation in hell fire; where the worm dies not, a bottomless pit, a place of darkness, a place of torment and fire, a place of anger, gnashing of teeth and agony. Jesus took all the punishment of our sins on the cross for us, to save us. Since He was punished for our sin, took all the shame and agony on the cross for us and shed His blood and died there… Jesus Christ the Lord gave Himself for us so that we could live with Him for all eternity. He said ” the blood of Jesus Christ, God’s Son, cleanses us from all sin.” But we must obey Him by believing in Him. If we reject Him and what he has done for us, what is left for us, but damnation? Will we reject His perfect gift of love and all He did for us and expect to be forgiven when we do not really believe in Him nor are truly sorry for our sin?
Jesus Christ our Lord becomes our righteousness when we believe in Him and trust in Him to save us because the third day after He died on the cross and was buried in the tomb, He arose again from the dead! 500 people witnessed seeing Him after He arose again from the dead. He is risen and walked on the earth, ate with and spoke with people, He arose from the dead in the flesh!!! “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the Scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
This is the way of truth and salvation… what will you do with the truth? What will you do with the Only Saviour? My prayer is that you will believe in your heart and call on His Name, ask Him to save you. Acknowledge to God your sin and repent! Believe in Him and Repent in the heart…not just the mind!
Jesus says of those that truly believe in Him that He will send them a Comforter… that is the Holy Spirit of God to dwell in your heart. He says of those that believe in Him, that they become the “dwelling place of the living God.”
Read the Bible and seek God through the Lord Jesus Christ, ask Him to help you and give you faith in Him… “There is no other Name under Heaven given among men, where by we must be saved.”
“For by grace are ye saved through faith, and that not of yourself, it is the gift of God, not of works, lest any man should boast.”
